Curve

Curve uses the same alluring visual language of classic balsa wood surfboards to create three unique sculptural pieces to accompany the 2009 Surf-Ace Table. Each Curved piece appears to have been reshaped by a natural glitch, a change or a pull of gravity.

The arced shape adds an enticing dimension to each sculpture while the natural lines and raw grain details of the wood call back to the waves. With a beautiful mix of layered, rich walnut and cool ash wood, each Curve naturally becomes the focal point for the space.

Wood has been the material used in the construction of surfboards since the ancient Hawaiians, making this collection not only appeasing to the eye but also to the touch. Its strong curves and sleek edges please the senses as the hand glides over the wooden surface.
